Job Description

Selectek has an immediate need for an experienced Project Manager to oversee and lead the installation of our client’s manufactured equipment. This role will provide coordination, management, planning, and implementation for complex opening solutions. Projects are primarily in commercial settings.

The position will define project tasks and resource requirements, and coordinate development and review of project deliverables. Manage project budget. Plan and schedule project timelines. Provide direction and support to the project team including sales, production and installation teams. Monitor and report on project progress. Track project milestones and deliverables. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans as necessary. Conduct project cost analysis in real-time and closeout of the project. Create recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Assist project contract review process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Support Sales pre-turnover activities including pre-release approvals
  2. Participate in door project contract review
  3. Coordinate door project design & operation review
  4. Plan and execute specialty projects
  5. Establish and manage project costs
  6. Manage Electrical and Mechanical drawing submittals
  7. Track project(s) process through build & ship
  8. Generate Installation data package including coordination with GCs/dealers
  9. Manage installation activities and General Contractor (GC) coordination
  10. Manage project Change Orders
  11. Assist the Installation coordinator with field issues
  12. Evaluate/investigate project issues in various departments
  13. Plan and implement project coordination improvements “historical issues”
  14. Manage Architects' technical questions regarding door capabilities, building interface for door installation, electrical requirements, etc.
  15. Manage GCs and dealer’s door technical, sales and project status inquiries
  16. Assist with Sales requests such as technical questions & project administration questions
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Knowledge of general building construction management
  • Experience with architectural and structural drawings
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Leadership training and team-building skills
  • Quality control experience
  • Knowledge of contract review & negotiations
  • Exposure to change management processes
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving experience and decision-making skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction techniques
  • Proven ability to work and lead in a team environment.
  • Highly efficient and effective organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrate a “sense of urgency” on getting tasks closure
  • Proven customer skills and ability to maintain perspective in conflict resolution
  • Self-starter, able to work without direct supervision
  • Knowledge of LEED requirements and documentation

Required:
  • 3 Plus ears of direct work experience in in project management capacity. This should include proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Experienced with project management over commercial building projects or premanufactured buildings for commercial settings.
  • Experience interacting with Architects and Engineers throughout the process
Preferred:
  • PMP
Pay Rate: $80,000 - $90,000
