Job Description

Selectek has a client in the pipeline infrastructure field and has an immediate need for a Project Manager to help with pipeline and facilities construction/maintenance projects for midstream. A background working with integrity dig projects is ideal.

The role provides project management support to operations and maintenance personnel and manages a broad range of capital and major maintenance projects primarily for crude oil and refined product facilities, terminals and pipelines. Projects include, but are not limited to, pipeline relocations, piping modifications and upgrades, meter stations and compressor stations.

Essential duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:
  • Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team that may be comprised of internal and external service providers including but not limited to Product Movement, project engineers, planning engineers, operations, environmental services, field personnel, procurement, design engineering, engineering contractors, survey contractors, construction contractors, ROW, permitting, EH&S, Control Center
  • Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism
  • Create and direct the controls for assigned projects
  • Provide or direct the appropriate level of project documentation during the project and following completion to assure compliance with Corporate, Federal, State and other governing bodies policies
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that communicate project proposals, descriptions and status to upper management, governmental agencies and/or the public
  • Communicate the status of developmental activities to business sponsors using written and verbal communications
  • Manage projects in a manner that assures safety, reliability, environmental and human impacts are mitigated while meeting the project goals (including but not limited to Schedule, Budget, Safety and overall Quality)
  • Manage project finances and prepare accurate monthly project cash flow forecast
  • Manage project schedules Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully communicate with management on goals and objectives
  • Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes
  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil)
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience for pipeline and facilities construction midstream projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid drivers license
  • This role will be based out of their corporate HQ in Houston
  • The ideal candidate will be a Project Manager with experience overseeing “Integrity Digs” an Integrity Dig is defined as: an effort to prevent a pipeline incident. They will be overseeing midstream pipeline maintenance
  • Manager said folks with experience getting under the right of way and dealing with existing pipelines would be great.
  • If their experience is more in line with Greenfield projects, they will consider them but ideally would like to see more experience. (can send if they only have 5 but he said ideally if they don’t have the integrity dig/maintenance experience and have only done greenfield they will want to see 10 years).
  • TWIC Card - Not required. If needed, client will cover the cost.
Job order details:

The focus of this role will be products that are Midstream and overseeing integrity digs

Sponsorship: Not An Option, Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Pay range: $65/hour - $78/hour (could go higher)
Term of assignment: 12+ months
Location of job: Houston, TX 77002
Hours and shift: They work 36 hours one week and 44 hours the next. No Overtime pay. They work M-Th one week at 9 hours a day the next week they work M-F 9 hours a day. This way they have every other Friday off.
They need to be in the office from 9am-3pm. They can choose when they start and finish but need to make sure they are in the office for those hours.
Work from home:  They will need to work this out with their manager. Usually they WFH two days a week once they are up and running and acclimated the role
Working remote: no
Overtime expected: None
Travel:  Can be up to 20-30% - Much of this may be local travel within 200 miles of Houston but on occasion it could be national travel with an overnight stay. Sounds like the overnight stays will be minimal. Cost will be covered.
