Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer of equipment for the utility industry, has an immediate need for an experienced Production Planner. The Production Planner will plan and prepare production schedules for the manufacturing of industrial or commercial products and provide inventory support to multiple departments. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Material and Assembly Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and maintain the flow of both materials and assemblies between work centers.
  • Work Order Management: Create job packages and maintain all work orders individually by job number.
  • Label and Data Package Coordination: Print and release labels for field boxes and coordinate pre-printed data packages.
  • Status Reporting: Generate the status of work order exceptions using matched receipts and shop floor feedback.
  • Material Handling Oversight: Direct the handling of material regarding receiving errors, physical counts, location errors, and bin restocking issues.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and resolve inventory adjustments and history.
  • Routing Accuracy: Address permanent routing corrections and work with manufacturing engineers to maintain accuracy.
  • Scrap and Rework Management: Handle scrap, rework, and repairs, and expedite replacement parts when needed.
  • Kit Coordination: Coordinate with Supervisors to provide kits for live parts and items that are not floor-stocked.
  • Team Collaboration: Balance team and individual responsibilities; exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to building a positive team spirit; put team success above own interests; support everyone’s efforts to succeed.
  • Cost Management: Work within approved budget; contribute to profits and revenue; develop and implement cost-saving measures; conserve organizational resources.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree from a Technical School
  • 1+ years of experience with inventory control and as a production planner in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management
  • Management experience
Pay Rate: 
  • $23.00-$27.00
