Job Description


Selectek is seeking a Product Design Engineer in the Quincy, IL area.

Job Summary:
  • Will originate and/or develop designs for products relating to defined customer needs or as possible proprietary items. This also may include the adaptation of existing components or designs into new customer applications
  • Assists in the analysis of engineering design for specific applications
  • Assists in the investigation and analysis of new materials, equipment, and engineering practices
  • Prepares or assists in preparing engineering computations
  • Establishes test requirements if not specified by customer, and develops and directs the testing of new product prototypes to verify reliability
  • Maintains contact with related customers regarding new designs, requirements, or applications
  • Assists in the production and control of engineering documentation
  • Prepares engineering drawings, sketches, layouts

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position
  • Inventor (preferred) or similar 3D modeling software proficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills are essential

Preferred:
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in product engineering

Pay range: $60,000 - $75,000

Location: Quincy, IL (up to $2500 reimbursed for relocation)
