Job Description

Selectek is partnering with a company located near Louisville, Kentucky to fill a Process Weld Manager role to oversee the training programs and auditing of welding within the company. 

Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct
Expected Pay Range: $33.65 - $38.46 per hour, depending on certification and experience. Travel pay/per diem available in addition to standard pay. 
Location: Louisville, KY
Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible start/end times

Job Requirements:
  • 5 years of leadership experience in construction or maintenance trades with particular focus on welding certifications, procedures and standards
  • Engineering degree is preferred but can be substituted by equivalent experience.
  • Financial responsibility for welding program management
 
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client’s request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Details:
  • Development and execution of welding training programs that develop practical skills and attitudes utilizing world-class safety procedures as applied to: MIG, Stick, 3G, 4G, 6G, Sub-Arc, Plasma Cutting, Arc-gouging,
  • Set procedures for working with Stainless Steel/Exotic Metals
  • AWS D1.1 Code
  • Contribute to safety program development  
  • Utilize experience with various challenges in welding in the field to improve and inform training. Topics include: Dissimilar materials, Degraded surfaces preparation and joining, Welding at heights, Welding out of position, Work design to allow for optimum/safe conditions
Travel: There will be travel to other company sites in the US.
