Process Engineer – Georgetown, DE
Full-Time | Pay Commensurate with Experience | Relocation Assistance Available

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to supervise and lead a large portion of a manufacturing production team in the Georgetown, DE area. This is a hands-on supervisory role ideal for someone with both technical expertise and strong leadership skills. You will play a critical role in process development, continuous improvement, and team management, ensuring high-quality production and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise tool room staff, process technicians, trainees, material handlers, process engineers, and maintenance personnel.

  • Serve as a liaison between manufacturing and engineering departments.

  • Develop, document, and train personnel on work procedures and best practices.

  • Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement and problem solving.

  • Optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.

  • Maintain high-quality standards and ensure accurate execution of defined processes.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and effective communication between departments.

  • Assess equipment and personnel requirements and implement necessary changes.

  • Handle supervisory responsibilities, including scheduling, training records, discipline, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in injection molding processes.

  • Experience with engineered and high-temp resins.

  • Ability to interpret part prints, quality plans, and work instructions.

  • Experience developing and documenting work procedures and training personnel.

  • Proficient in Office software (Word, Excel) and CAD/SolidWorks, Moldflow.

  • Experience with robot programming and end-of-arm tooling changes.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001-2008 and TS-16949-2009.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in formalized problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean/Six Sigma training or certification.

  • Certificate in supervisory training.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
