Job Description

We are seeking a BIM Coordinator to manage and execute Building Information Modeling (BIM) tasks for complex projects. This role involves leading BIM coordination efforts, resolving clashes, and collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality results. As a self-starter, you will thrive in a dynamic environment, adapt to frequent changes, and contribute to the success of each project.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models during preconstruction and construction phases.
  • Lead clash detection and resolution efforts, documenting and tracking issues.
  • Produce detailed drawings that meet project specifications and code requirements.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to identify and resolve design challenges.
  • Attend coordination meetings and provide project updates.
  • Ensure designs optimize cost, safety, and efficiency.
  • Support field teams by answering layout questions and providing guidance.
  • Update project management systems and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Mentor and support team members to enhance overall team capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including regulations and codes.
  • Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360) and Trimble software/equipment.
  • Familiarity with plumbing and NFPA codes.
  • Understanding of construction processes, from preconstruction to final build.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Detail-oriented approach to design and documentation.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in optimizing piping layouts for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes and creating accurate drawings for production.
Location: Waltham, MA (02452) or Andover, MA (01810)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (with flexibility)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $75,000 - $130,000 per year (DOE)
Travel: Some travel to local clients
Work Arrangement: Hybrid work flexibility
