Selectek is partnering with a firm in Nashville, TN to hire a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer on a direct hire basis. Candidates will oversee the design, development, and implementation of plumbing systems for various project types.

Expected Pay Range: $50,000-$75,000 annual salary, depending on experience and certification
Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p


Job Duties:
  • Responsibilities include production of plumbing and fire protection system designs, multi-discipline coordination, client interaction and construction administration.
  • Provide support to senior designers and engineers on an as-requested basis.
  • Independently perform technical drafting and design in REVIT and AutoCAD as assigned.
  • Complete projects from start to finish including floor plans, details, schedules and specifications within the allotted time schedule as required to meet project deadlines.
  • Review the work of Design Level I individuals and assist with training and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Perform a variety of related office or field tasks to gather, tabulate, calculate, analyze, interpret, and record data as needed for completion of construction documents and reports related to projects independently.
  • Perform related duties as assigned to include complete and thorough review of completed work prior to review by senior staff and submission to client.
  • Visit project sites and attend meetings as required to document site conditions, gather information as needed and to serve as a representative for the company
Job Requirements:
  • Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of plumbing and fire protection system design experience.
  • Experience should include equipment and distribution sizing for domestic water, gravity drainage, and natural gas systems.
  • Also required is Revit and AutoCAD competence, familiarity with NFPA standards and building codes, and effective communication skills.
  • Ideal candidates would have an associate degree or ASPE CPD or ASPE CPDT certification.
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
