Plumbing Designer

Job Description

Selectek is seeking a Plumbing Designer to join our engineering team and provide comprehensive design support for a variety of commercial, municipal, and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing system design and be proficient in Revit and relevant industry codes.
Responsibilities:
  • Design plumbing systems including service water piping, sewage disposal systems, specialty piping, and fire safety systems.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local and national building codes.
  • Conduct pre-design site visits to survey existing conditions and prepare preliminary drawings.
  • Develop complete construction contract documents including calculations, drawings, schematics, and technical details.
  • Review construction submittals for conformance with design documents.
  • Perform site observations during construction to ensure adherence to design intent and code compliance.
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of plumbing design experience, ideally in commercial, municipal, or institutional projects.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface with clients and stakeholders.
Pay Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 base salary (stock options and bonus in addition to base salary)
