Job Description
We have a long-term contract option with our client who is a leader in the utility industry. This role is for a Physical Substation Designer. The Designer will be responsible for creating and revising physical plans, sections, and details related to electric utility substation installations including, general arrangements, grounding, conduit and foundation designs. The role will also perform first line quality assurance review of drawing packages, and electronically transmit completed design packages using current document management system and coordinate project drafting schedules with design engineers.
Ideally candidates will also have strong communications skills, take ownership of their work, and shows initiative.
Required:

- Excellent AutoCAD skills with AutoCAD 2019 or 2023
- 1 plus years of structural or architectural design experience
- Strong Communication skills
- Substation design/power industry experience
- Inventor 3D Design Experience
