Job Description
Selectek has an immediate need for a Permit Specialist in the Kansas City, KS area. In this role, you will complete Authority Having Jurisdiction permit applications for city, county, state, pole, railroad, and others in the telecommunications field. This is a flexible hybrid work from home position.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
Pay and Wages: $20 - $25/hour

Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Must have 1+ year of Permitting experience completing AHJ permit applications
- Establish and sustain positive working relationships with applicable AHJ’s acting as the main point of contact
- Perform jurisdictional and utility research, address municipal code and document requirements for other team members
- Effective knowledge and professional communication of the current permit status in emails and on calls
- Maintain the robust process for tracking research for AHJs in the company’s database of record
- Compile, submit and retrieve permit packages either electronically or in person
- Utilize the company’s database of record, track the permit lifecycle from application to approval, expiration and renewal, including maintaining accurate forecast and actual timelines and costs
- Travel to and effectively interact with the permitting authority to ensure timely receipt of approved permits
- Maintain engagement throughout the entire project cycle – start to successful completion
- Ensure all deliverables are received and uploaded into the designation company database of record
- Maintain accurate forecasts for both company and client reporting purposes
- Telecommunications experience preferred
