Permit Coordinator – Telecommunications Industry

Location: Overland Park, KS | Hybrid After Training | Pay: ~ +/- $22-$32/hr [Negotiable, DOE]

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Permit Coordinator to join a growing team in the telecommunications industry. Your focus will be completing Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) permit applications for city, county, state, pole, and railroad projects—ensuring everything is in place for smooth fiber network construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with jurisdictions, serving as the main point of contact for permits
  • Research and compile permit information for city, county, state, and federal agencies
  • Submit and track permit applications, ensuring all requirements are met
  • Maintain accurate records in the company’s database, tracking permit lifecycles from application to approval
  • Travel locally (up to 25%) to interact with permitting authorities when needed

What We’re Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience with AHJ permit applications
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with authorities and clients
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred: Telecom or utilities industry experience
