Our client is currently seeking a Part-Time Architectural Designer. 

This position is a Part Time role that will require you to be in the office 3 days a week, working a minimum of 24 hours.

Job Duties:
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Selections for Design Drawings.
  • Prepare technical & shop drawings and details for our projects.
  • Interpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as needed.
  • Work closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issues.
  • Responsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completion.
  • Be able to follow computer processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a draw & build a standard option library.
Requirements:
  • Relevant work experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Sketchup
  • Ability to draw full construction documents
  • Knowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/material
  • Have 3D visional interpretation of construction situations
  • Ability to work well with others and follow directions
  • Dedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detail
Preferred:
  • Residential custom building industry experience ($1Mil+ Homes)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building codes
  • Experience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture details
Pay Range:
  • $29 – 40/hr, depending on experience
