Job Title: Panel Designer (Electrical)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Panel Designer to join our team and take charge of the electrical design, layout, and drafting of industrial control panels. As a Panel Designer, you will be responsible for translating user requirements, national and customer standards, into well-designed electrical schematics and panel layouts that meet and exceed industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Electrical Design:
  • Analyze vendor cut sheets to understand the functionality and applicability of products for the control panels.
  • Utilize your expertise in electrical systems and standards to develop clear and comprehensive wiring diagrams.
  • Employ your knowledge of manufacturing techniques, relevant standards, and field installation requirements to create efficient and effective panel layouts.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff, manufacturing teams, and other personnel to identify and resolve any design-related issues.
  • Offer guidance and adjustments to manufacturing or construction teams based on your understanding of the drawings.
  1. Drafting:
  • Proficiently use AutoCAD Electrical software to produce accurate and detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts.
  • Ensure the drawings adhere to industry best practices and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in electrical design, control panel layout, and drafting, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and relevant standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD Electrical software to create precise electrical drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively to cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing accurate and high-quality designs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Shift and Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Travel: Up to 20% travel may be required

Location: Remote candidates must be located in Lewisville, TX 75057

Hourly Rates: $30-$45 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
