PLC Programmer - Santa Clara, CA

Position Overview
A leading engineering and system integration firm in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our team. This is a direct-hire, permanent position offering a competitive, negotiable base salary (commensurate with experience) and the chance to contribute to mission-critical automation systems for the semiconductor and biotech industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, program, and integrate gas detection and chemical dispense control systems.
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs across multiple platforms.
  • Configure and start up industrial automation hardware, including VFDs and communication networks.
  • Read and modify electrical schematics and create flow diagrams for program design.
  • Adapt existing programs to meet specific customer needs.
  • Provide technical support to Field Service Engineers during installation and maintenance.
  • Monitor and resolve system performance issues efficiently.

Requirements
  • ~ 5+ years of PLC programming experience.
  • Proficiency with various automation platforms, such as Allen Bradley, Modicon, Ignition, SCADA, and WonderWare.
  • Strong understanding of electrical control schematics and safety protocols.
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes or experience in building systems integration/fire alarm systems.

Work Details
  • Location: Santa Clara, CA.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours with flexibility.
  • Remote Work: Hybrid option available after onboarding (1–2 days per week).
  • Travel: Minimal, local to Silicon Valley.
