Job Description

Selectek is looking for a PCB/SMT Test Technician to be responsible for testing and programming completed circuit boards by following test procedures. This will include reading schematics, basic electronics troubleshooting, and providing feedback to software engineers.

Required:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficient (PC, Windows, Excel)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, self-directed environment, document detailed results, and communicate symptoms to engineers
  • Attention to detail, organized, and thorough in completing tasks
  • Ability to learn and record test procedures
  • Ability to remain productive while under strict timelines and working on multiple projects
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of electronics test equipment
  • Continuously looking for details to create a quality product
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Previous electronics quality or testing experience
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Previous electronics manufacturing experience

As a SMT Test Technician, you will be responsible for testing and programming completed circuit boards by following test procedures. This will include reading schematics, basic electronics troubleshooting, and providing feedback to software engineers. This position will require attention to detail, a high level of organization, and a strong willingness to learn. This position will be a mix of repetitive testing of circuit boards while learning, documenting new procedures and troubleshooting issues when required. Clear communication of issues to coworkers and supervisors is necessary. This position will require both sitting and standing while moving about the production facility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with area supervisor to understand daily priorities
  • Self-manage product priorities to meet needs of next work area
  • Check and maintain job related tools and supplies, request additional supplies as needed
  • Execute functional, stress, system, validation, reliability, and engineering directed types of testing
  • Test and troubleshoot existing products as well as new developments in accordance with defined testing procedures
  • Work with software development and engineering teams to report and facilitate rapid responses to problems with product
  • Communicate effectively with other team members, both verbally and in writing; this includes communicating out of ordinary circumstances, changes in procedures, or other information which may be considered useful

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 ($24/hour - $29/hour)
Term of assignment: Direct Hire
Location of Job: Alpharetta, GA
Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday: 7AM – 4PM with flexibility
  • Ability to be flexible with changing project schedules. Overtime will be required at times based on business needs, which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
