Employment Type: Long-term, ~ 6-month Contract-to-Direct Hire opportunity
Work Hours: Flexible start, 5x8's, open to 4x10's
Salary: ~ +/- $28--$40/hr [Highly negotiable depending on experience; will pay more for the right candidate!]
About Co.:
Over 25 year old Full-Service Fiber Optic Network Design Company will now also be a brand-new Internet Services Provider committed to delivering reliable, high-speed internet solutions. Expanding team and seeking a dedicated Network Device Provisioning Technician to join us in this exciting venture.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow established procedures to provision and configure MikroTik and Ubiquiti devices in line with project requirements.
  • Program MikroTik routers and switches, and Ubiquiti products to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to understand network architecture and customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MikroTik and Ubiquiti device configurations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of configurations and network topology.
Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with MikroTik and RouterOS in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven track record in a Network Device Provisioning Technician role or similar.
  • Proficiency in programming and configuring MikroTik routers and switches.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, ISIS, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Certifications (not required):
  • MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA)
  • MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTCRE)
  • Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
