Selectek has an exciting opportunity for a Network Administrator with our client that will be tasked to provide on-site support for a variety of partiers. The role will require a thorough understanding of networking fundamentals.

PRIMARY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide onsite network support for IT, users, customers and projects
  • Support network access for large meetings in the Charleston office
  • Support VOIP phone connectivity issues
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving network outages
  • Assist network equipment support and circuit maintenance
  • Perform quarterly failover testing of network capabilities at all locations
Required:
  • 3+ years of experience applying knowledge of networking principles to implement and maintain secure business networks.
  • Thorough understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DOT1X, Firewall Policies, Class of Service, and Virtual Chassis.
  • Experience with the following protocols
    1. Transparent Bridging 802.1D
    2. Spanning Tree
    3. Link Layer Discovery Protocol
    4. Power Over Ethernet
    5. 802.1Q Trunk
    6. DOT1X
  • Experience with virtual switch stack technology
  • Experience with creating VLANs
  • Experience configuring security zones and permissions
  • Experience with configuring interfaces for VOIP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to create technical documentation, including change notices.
  • Experience creating network diagram with MS Visio.
Preferred:
  • 2+ years of experience with the JUNOS operating system.
  • Experience with Citrix Netscaler, Pulse Secure VPN, and Aruba ClearPass, Aruba Instant wireless and Airwaves Server
  • Experience with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
  • Experience with Juniper equipment
    • EX4300 switches
    • EX4200 switches
    • EX2300 switches
  • JNCIA and/or JNCIS certification
  • Experience with AAA authentication for switch access
  • 4 year technical degree

Sponsorship: No
Pay Range: $35/hour - $48/hour ($73,000 - $100,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment: 6 months temp to perm
Location of job: North Charleston, SC
Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm no flex time
Work From Home? After 3 months of on-site with the team, they will look at partial work from home if things are going well. What that means will depend on the candidate but they need to be prepared to mostly be in the office. Even when they are able to work from home it may only be one day a week.
Working Remote: No
Overtime: Minimum. This can happen during outages
Travel: None
Work Attire: Business Casual
