Are you seeking a new role in the mechanical design field? Selectek needs a Mechanical/Structural Designer for a client located near Dothan, Alabama. Candidates will be utilizing CAD programs to design mechanical, structural, or piping systems for large-scale industrial projects.
Employment Type: Contract to Direct
Expected Pay Range: $32-$50 per hour, based on experience and education
Location: Dothan, Alabama OR Jacksonville, Florida
Job Duties:
- Design for pulp and paper industrial projects
- Drawings will be either mechanical (conveyors, buckets, gear boxes), structural (platforms, pump foundations), or piping (duct work, process piping) related.
- Create detailed installation drafting
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary engineering teams
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and contractors to obtain information needed to complete design work
- Troubleshoot design issues and work collaboratively with a team of designers
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Plant3D, and/or Revit
- Willingness to expand design skills to include facets of mechanical, structural, and piping
- Industrial project experience is preferred
