Job Description
Mechanical Machine Designer
(Southwest Greater Madison, WI)
A growing industrial automation consulting / manufacturing company has an immediate need for a Mechanical Machine Designer to be based out of their Greater Madison Wisconsin facility.
The Mechanical Machine Designer Responsibilities Include:
* Overall, perform and create mechanical designs, drawings, and documentation for a multiple projects and multiple types of industrial automated systems, automated machinery, material handling systems, etc.
* Evaluate and approve changes to design, specifications, and releases
* Support and provide input for continuous product quality improvements, machine manufacturing operations, and assembly operations
* Collaborate with engineering, teams leads, production, and customers to create accurate designs, documentation, and products within specifications, schedule, and budget
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
* A.S. Degree/Diploma or Vocational-Technical School or Equivalent Experience
* Working knowledge and proficiency with 3d CAD design and modeling software tools; Inventor preferred
* Working knowledge and experience with engineering principles, material properties, metal fabrication, machine manufacturing, thermal and corrosion considerations, etc.
* 3+ years of mechanical machine design for fabrication/manufacturing, modeling, and documentation experience
