Mechanical Estimator (HVAC)
Location: Greenville, SC

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator (HVAC) to support large-scale industrial and commercial construction projects. This role is critical to the success of ground-up builds, delivering accurate, competitive cost estimates that directly influence strategic decisions and project execution. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure bids are thorough, timely, and aligned with project goals.

Project Type: Ground-up construction (hospitals, schools, laboratories, and similar facilities)

Project Size: $50M+
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to develop detailed mechanical cost estimates
  • Calculate material quantities, labor hours, equipment, and subcontractor costs for HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  • Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals for industrial and commercial projects
  • Evaluate and price change orders, revisions, and scope adjustments
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Assistant PMs to refine estimates and support proposal development
  • Maintain and update cost databases, vendor pricing, and historical project data
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as required
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical estimating within industrial, commercial, construction, or MEP environments
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Trimble, QuoteSoft, or similar platforms
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
