Job Description
Our client is hiring a Mechanical Engineer with specialties in Electro-Mechanical Systems.
This is a Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidates should have a broad range of experience in mechanical engineering concepts coupled with experience interfacing with closed-loop servo control systems.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes and ‘Design-for-Manufacturing’ concepts are desired as well.
Required:
Location: White Oak, TX (75693)
Hour: M-F 8-5 with flexibility.
Overtime: Some on occasion.

Required:
- Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
- Working experience with electro-mechanical systems
- Working experience with servo control systems
- Working experience with finite element analysis (FEA)
- Highly proficient with 3D computer-aided-drafting (CAD) – SolidWorks
- Familiarity with 2D CAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of people (technical and non-technical)
- Technical writing skills
- Experience and understanding with product testing and design verification
- 5-10 years active experience in engineering and engineering design with a focus on electro-mechanical drives and design
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Performing mechanical drive system designs and analysis
- Gear Driven Systems
- Jack Driven Systems
- Cable Driven Systems
- DC Motors (Brushed and Brushless)
- AC Motors / AC Servo Motors
- Stepper Motors
- Performing drive component designs and analysis
- Gearboxes
- Cable Drive Components
- Performing control system and feedback device selection and analysis
- Encoders
- Leveling devices
- Potentiometers
- Travel limiting switches
- Servo system interfaces
- Performing, directing and supporting product documentation efforts
- 3D CAD files
- Drawings
- Bills of Material
- Specifications
- Processes and Procedures
- Finite Element Analysis
- Pre-Sales and Post-Sales support
- Manufacturing Support
- Customer Support
- Estimate and budget project scope
- Perform full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture, implementation and product support)
- Interface with customers, vendors and internal staff to design systems and components that meet needs and requirements
- Test and evaluate theoretical designs
- Alter and modify designs to meet requirements and eliminate malfunctions
- Evaluate final product performance and reliability
