Mechanical Engineer
Location: South of Tallahassee, FL

Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a long-term internal manufacturing plant expansion project for a well-established, high-volume industrial manufacturer. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite on complex mechanical systems, equipment, and processes within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3–5 years of mechanical design engineering experience
  • Strong background in:
  • Design optimization and design reviews
  • Mechanical system and equipment design
  • Prototyping and engineering analysis
  • Proficiency with CAD and CAE software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar) Key Responsibilities
    • Apply mechanical engineering principles to design, analyze, modify, test, and improve mechanical systems and equipment
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and engineering reports
    • Collaborate with engineers, operations, and maintenance teams to:
    • Resolve system malfunctions
    • Improve equipment performance
    • Implement operating procedures
  • Evaluate customer and internal design proposals for feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements
  • Specify system components and direct product or equipment modifications to ensure compliance with performance and design standards
  • Investigate equipment failures, diagnose root causes, and provide recommendations for corrective action
  • Support ongoing plant expansion and capital improvement initiatives Project & Environment
    • Long-term plant expansion project within a manufacturing facility
    • Work involves industrial equipment, tooling, and mechanical systems
    • Collaborative engineering environment with a strong technical foundation
    • This engineering work has been outsourced, and our firm is the prime staffing vendor supporting the project
