Job Description
Selectek has an exciting role for a Mechanical Engineer who will be working with semiconductors. Candidate should have a background working with Industrial or Advanced Technology projects such as Semiconductors. The role will require experience in mechanical and process systems ranging from simple to complex, including facility HVAC, process piping, exhaust, and hydronic systems. The role will not only focus on the engineering design aspects for the process systems, but also will grow into a position that works with general contractors and on-site client interaction to ensure the implementation of the systems and equipment are handled correctly.
Required:
This role will be responsible for the design and implementation of process systems for semiconductor plants. Not only will they do the engineering work for design, but they will work closely with general contractors hired and the end client to ensure the Engineering process systems are implemented correctly. It is not just an office engineering job they will be at the site looking at the conditions and determining what needs to be done so that the process engineering work is handled correctly.
Sponsorship: No
Pay range: $35/hour - $42/hour ($73,000 - $88,000 annual salary) - Will consider higher salary for PE or someone with more than 10 years of experience (PE not required for this role)
Term of assignment: 6 months temp to direct
Pay method when direct: Salary, but will pay straight time for hours over 40 worked
Location of job: Tempe, AZ or Portland, OR
Hours and shift: Monday - Friday 8AM – 5PM
Work from home: There will be a mixture of at home and in office and it will depend on the candidate.
Working remote: No
Overtime expected: Occasionally depending on the project
Travel: occasional to sites
Work attire: Business Casual

Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineer or Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years of related Engineering experience for Semiconductors, Advanced Technology Facilities, or Industrial Facilities.
- Knowledge of how to prepare P&ID drawings for various systems, construction specifications, sequence of operations, testing documents and engineering reports.
- Fundamental understanding of basic building code requirements
- Experience working on larger more complex facilities (not interested in commercial, retail, or residential HVAC mechanical engineers
- EIT
- Tool installation experience
- Oil and gas, mining, pharma, automotive parts industries are all great experiences

Technical Recruiter
Lizzie is originally from a small town in South Georgia where she grew up on a farm. She then moved to the “big city” of Athens to attend The University of Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication. The courses she took cultivated her desire to connect with people and help others. This path led her to a sales and recruiting job with a company in Atlanta that took her to Pittsburgh and then back to Atlanta. Although she enjoyed the competitiveness of sales, recruiting was her passion. For the next three years, Lizzie honed her recruiting skills while working for a light industrial/manufacturing staffing company in Marietta, GA.
Lizzie joined Selectek in March of 2021. She brought with her a cumulative of nearly 9 years of recruiting experience. Her strong background and knowledge of recruiting gave her a great base for learning the ins and outs of engineering and architecture.
In her spare time, Lizzie spends time with her dogs (Jax, Tuck, and Birdie) and cat (Luna). She also enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs football team and visiting local wineries. She enjoys going on trips with her husband, Philip, and playing in a competitive cornhole league with him.
