Job Description
Selectek has an immediate need for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX.
Job description:
• Design mechanical systems for commercial, office, hospitality, mixed-use, retail, industrial, healthcare, and more in the United States and the Caribbean.
• Design HVAC systems, load calculations, ductwork and piping layouts, equipment selections, and construction administration.
• Prepare concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Coordinate technical project requirements with the entire MEP project team, including clients, project managers, other consultants, engineers, and designers.
• Conduct code research and incorporate applicable requirements into the design.
• Attend construction meetings, potential travel to project sites, and project meetings.

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the design of HVAC systems
- Excellent communication skills
- AutoCAD and Revit proficiency
- Resourceful team player possessing vital planning, organizational, and communication skills
- EIT or Professional Engineering licensure with multistate eligibility
- $32/hr. - $50/hr.
- Monday- Thursday (9 hours)
- Friday (4 hours)
- Hybrid Schedule (2 days work from home)
- 6 Months Temp to Perm
