Job Description
Mechanical Engineer position
We have an immediate need for a junior to mid level Mechanical Engineer in Houston, Texas.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and estimated to go direct within 6 months of start date.
Hourly pay will be dependent on experience, education and EIT/PE status.
Estimated to start at $32-50/HR with a direct salary range of $67-$105K.
Job description:
• Design mechanical systems for commercial, office, hospitality, mixed-use, retail, industrial, healthcare and more, in the United States and the Caribbean.
• Design HVAC systems, load calculations, ductwork and piping layouts, equipment selections and construction administration.
• Prepare concept, schematic design, design development and construction documents.
• Coordinate technical project requirements with entire MEP project team, including clients, project managers, other consultants, engineers and designers.
• Conduct code research and incorporate applicable requirements into the design.
• Attend construction meetings, potential travel to project sites and project meetings.
Required:
Location: Houston, TX 77090
Work from home: YES- WFH 2 days a week 1/2 day Fridays- Monday is mandatory office day for everyone.
Hours: Mon-Thurs (9 hours) Friday 4 Hours = 40 hour week.
Pay Rate: $32-$50/hour

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1 years of experience in the design of HVAC systems
- Excellent communication skills
- AutoCad and Revit proficiency
- Resourceful team player possessing strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
- EIT or Professional Engineering licensure with multistate eligibility
