Job Description


We have an immediate need in Austin TX for a Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineering license current/valid in TX.

Required:
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • P.E. License in the State of Texas, or the ability to obtain licensure in Texas within 6 months of employment if licensed in another state.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience designing wet and dry HVAC Systems, Central Utility Plants, including Chilled and Condenser Water Systems, Hot Water and Steam Systems and Cleanroom Systems for the Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Petroleum or related industries.
  • Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with people of all levels of the company as well as customers and contractors.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers, MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc). 
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu, MS Project, AutoCad and/or Revit will be considered an asset.
Job Description:

•    Reads, analyzes and interprets project documents, instructions, proposals, specifications, and other important information to obtain a clear understanding of the project requirements for the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.   
•    Performs engineering calculations and Title 24 documentation,  
•    Design of HVAC, Process and Plumbing systems including equipment selection. 
•    Develops Basis of Design, Equipment data sheets, Equipment/Construction specifications, and Sequence of Operations for Mechanical systems.  
•    Coordinates system design to ensure continuity with other disciplines.  
•    Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. 
•    Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Works under general supervision.  
•    May act as a project engineer or project manager. 
•    May assist in the training and education of junior engineers

Hybrid work setting, must be in Austin, TX are and able to report to office a few days a week.
