Selectek is partnering with an engineering firm near Nashville, TN to hire experienced Mechanical Designers into direct roles. Candidates will be working under a senior mechanical engineer and project manager on projects in the commercial, education and hospitality fields. Our client is motivated to schedule interviews and get candidates started in the next few weeks.
Job Requirements:
- Three-plus years of experience in mechanical design for HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial buildings
- Associates’ degree in drafting technology or an equivalent technical drafting certification
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and aligning engineering design practices
- Ideal candidates have experience with Trane Trace software
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000

Job Duties:
- Design and layout HVAC systems for various building types
- Select, size and specify equipment for designated HVAC and plumbing systems
- Work from schematics to develop plan drawings
- Provide workflow support for senior mechanical engineer and project manager
- Work within budget and schedule
- Maintain company standards for drawing and design
- Organize and file project drawings
- Coordinate with team members for installation plans
- Interact with clients and on-site team members throughout the project
