Mechanical Designer

Job Description

We have a client located in Fayetteville GA that has an immediate need for A Mechanical Designer  to assist in the design for aquatic projects. (Waterfalls, Fountains, Waterfalls,  Swimming Pools, Splash Pads, ETC) 
Required:
  • Must be fluent with AutoCAD 2D 
  • Must have the desire to learn fountain design, as well as swimming pool design and any other type of system that is water-related, including streams, waterwalls/waterfalls, and splashpads.
  • Must have desire to learn plumbing and electrical (conduit and wire-sizing and PLC and VFD programming)
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Preferred 
  • An engineering degree, especially in Mechanical or Electrical, is a plus
  • Aquatic design experience a major plus.
  • Fountain and/or swimming pool design experience is a plus
  • Desire to learn plumbing and electrical (conduit and wire-sizing and PLC and VFD programming). Knowledge in this field is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
 
  • Assist in designing/developing aquatic schematics.
  • Schedule each project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Evaluate scope and what is requested by client for feasibility and compliance. Provide viable alternatives.
  • Ensure that all equipment and piping sizes are correct and conducive for each aquatic project.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with owners and other design professionals on each project.
  • Prepare plans/revisions, changes and scopes of work for contractual agreements with architects, consultants, and clients.
  • Be prepared to learn all aspects of fountain and aquatic design and implement that knowledge accordingly.
Must be able to work in Fayetteville, GA
Pay Range-$20/hr-$40/hr depending on experience
