Job Description


Selectek is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Designer with expertise in machine design and/or conveyors/boiler systems to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and specifications.
  • Conceptualize, design, and model complex machinery and equipment using Solidworks.
  • Apply engineering principles to ensure designs are functional, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Utilize your expertise in machine design to enhance product performance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Contribute to the design of conveyors and/or boiler systems, incorporating both functionality and aesthetics.
  • Perform detailed calculations and simulations to validate the feasibility and performance of designs.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to provide guidance during the production and assembly phases.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve design practices.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in design (AAS) or a related field. Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in equipment design, with a strong focus on machine design.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD software is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing machinery, preferably including conveyors and/or boiler systems.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality designs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience specifically related to the design of conveyors and/or boiler systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Previous exposure to collaborative design environments and cross-functional teams.
Pay Rate: 
  • $26/hr. -$36/hr. 
Shift and Hours:
  • Monday- Friday
  • 8 AM- 5 PM
