Job Description


The Mechanical Designer/Engineer to work closely with a team of project engineers, architects and interior designers to develop plans and specifications for a variety of exciting project types in commercial, higher education, science and technology. Working under the direction of the lead engineer, you will gain knowledge and experience in all phases of design.


Required:
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related industry
  • 5 or more years of related work experience
  • Professional Engineers License or Designers License desired
  • Specialty certifications such as, LEED, WELL, etc. desired, but not required
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Solid knowledge in Revit and engineering software
  • AutoCAD- desired, but not essential
  • HVAC load calculations
  • Innovative thinking and a passion for design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Effective people and presentation skills
  • Advanced reading, math and science skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and creation of construction documents is essential

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and draft HVAC systems using an integrated and collaborative approach.
  • Produce mechanical drawings and specifications for all phases of design, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction/Bid Documents, Permit Documents and Construction Administration.
  • Perform load and energy calculations
  • Assist with feasibility studies, probable cost estimates, and energy modeling
  • Guide the production of construction documents (i.e. plans, details, schedules, specifications)
  • Provide construction administration for projects worked on
  • Quality control of work performed
  • Client Care and Communication

Must be able to report to office in Madison, WI or Waukesha, WI
Hybrid work schedule
Salary Range-75k-95k
