Direct Hire
Salary-$75,000-$90,000+
We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Chester County/Lancaster County PA area. 

Job Description:
  • Produce engineering design for projects including shop drawings, BOM & final documentation
  • Support Sales and R&D for all mechanical design and requirements
  • Work with vendors for outsourced components (steel, aluminum, wood)
  • Support of project installations onsite 
  • Participate in design team to develop product designs
  • Create clear CAD drawings for customer presentations and production.
  • Generate Bills of Material
  • Coordinate with personnel from the controls, mechanical and project management departments to meet the project specifications
  • Answer questions from Vendors and Fabricators
  • Resolve technical and schedule issues with other departments (e.g., make material substitutions to meet the schedule)
  • Update mechanical system documents to reflect “As-built” and “As-installed” conditions
  • Generate Operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required:
  • Associates or BSME or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Solidworks OR Solidedge
  • Knowledgeable with PDMworks
  • Understanding of basic mechanics
  • Direct experience using AutoCAD 
  • Understand the function and operation of mechanical hardware used for material handling systems
  • Ability to read and create mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of processes, methods and technologies involved in production
