Job Description
Selectek has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Kennesaw, GA. In this role, you will work with the sales team and other engineers to help develop drawings for industrial equipment, develop P&IDs and model drawings in Inventor, perform calculations, and other engineering duties as assigned. This is a hybrid work-from-home position. You must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States to be considered.
Responsibilities:
Pay and Wages: $75,000 - $90,000 annual salary depending on education and experience

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Engineering Manager on job requirements, activities, and schedules with the assignment of each job
- Work closely with the project managers and other engineering departments, using Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 2D and 3D files and rough sketches to create details and layout drawings per instructions and concepts
- Create multi-view detailed drawings, models, and assemblies for equipment general arrangements, field erection drawings, and shop fabrication drawings using mechanical expertise, calculations, previous project files, or other direction from Product leaders
- Work closely with project managers and the engineering team to execute the client’s needs and expectations, in a timely manner and on budget
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to team leaders in other engineering disciplines, i.e., structural, electrical and process
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Help create and maintain CAD standards
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 3+ years of mechanical design and modeling of industrial equipment
- Inventor or other 3D software proficiency
- Strong 2D and 3D modeling skills
