Selectek is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work closely with a team of project engineers and designers to develop HVAC plans and specifications for commercial projects.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annual salary
Term of assignment:Â Direct Hire
Location of Job:Â Dallas, TX
Remote/WFH: Â No
Hours & Shift: M-F: 8am – 5pm
Overtime:Â Some

Selectek is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work closely with a team of project engineers and designers to develop HVAC plans and specifications for commercial projects.
Required:
- BSME
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design of HVAC systems for commercial buildings
- Familiarity with applicable building codes and associated engineering design practices
- Proficiency using AutoCAD
- Proficiency using Revit
- Design and layout of engineering drawings for building HVAC systems
- Coordinate installation with other trades
- Support workflow of foreman and project managers
- Work from schematic sketches to produce plan drawings
- Organize and file project drawings
- Maintain company drawings and standards
- Interact with clients in on-line coordination meetings and on-site with Project Managers.
- Design, size, select, schedule, and specify basic Plumbing system components to include fixtures, specialties, and equipment
- Design and select HVAC systems and equipment

Technical Recruiter
Lizzie is originally from a small town in South Georgia where she grew up on a farm. She then moved to the “big city” of Athens to attend The University of Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication. The courses she took cultivated her desire to connect with people and help others. This path led her to a sales and recruiting job with a company in Atlanta that took her to Pittsburgh and then back to Atlanta. Although she enjoyed the competitiveness of sales, recruiting was her passion. For the next three years, Lizzie honed her recruiting skills while working for a light industrial/manufacturing staffing company in Marietta, GA.
Lizzie joined Selectek in March of 2021. She brought with her a cumulative of nearly 9 years of recruiting experience. Her strong background and knowledge of recruiting gave her a great base for learning the ins and outs of engineering and architecture.
In her spare time, Lizzie spends time with her dogs (Jax, Tuck, and Birdie) and cat (Luna). She also enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs football team and visiting local wineries. She enjoys going on trips with her husband, Philip, and playing in a competitive cornhole league with him.
