  • BOM, revision responsibility and release for the section assigned and full responsibility for all the components in the section.
  • Prepare engineering documentation that justifies the design including computer aided simulation results.
  • Order proto samples based on the 3D/2D models.
  • Problem solving of the proto design/samples if they didn’t work as intended with limited oversight from management.
  • Communicate with internal cross-functional members and external suppliers to ensure the parts/systems meet their expectations and being able to predict requests prior to CE activity.
  • Set deliverables schedule based on experience for prototype and production phases.

Routine decision-making:
  • Determine the most optimized design specification and risk level to achieve the targets based on engineering expertise.
  • Propose the most efficient manufacturing process for both proto and production.
  • Identify critical items need to be controlled and describe on 2D drawings.
  • Self and team assignment management to meet the task schedule.

Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 6 plus years of Mechanical Design experience that encompasses full life cycle of design. This should include from initial sketch, modeling, testing, through the fabrication phase.
