Job Description

Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Location: Atlanta, GA

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join a dynamic team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to impact all areas of production and manufacturing by working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Customer Service, and Sales. You will play a key role in implementing new and existing product lines while ensuring customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and lead kick-off meetings for new product implementations
  • Coordinate with production to determine personnel needs for new product start-ups and work cell development
  • Organize new product launches based on customer specifications
  • Ensure Work Instructions (WI) or Detailed Assembly Instructions (DAI) are complete before production release
  • Verify tooling and assembly fixtures are completed, certified, and ready for production
  • Measure and report actual production times versus quoted times
  • Manage new product launches and ensure all internal documentation is completed accurately
  • Evaluate existing production assemblies for efficiency improvements using time studies, floor feedback, and system-based reports
  • Coordinate production transfers between facilities, including material, tooling, and fixture transfers
  • Design and program fixture testing solutions for production
  • Identify and report safety hazards immediately, implementing precautions as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Basic engineering experience with a willingness to learn and grow in the role
