Job Description

Selectek is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to begin working with a great client of ours in Bessemer, AL immediately. This candidate will be in charge of improving the manufacturing process.

Required by Client
  • Develop and implement the 5S program.
  • Drive continuous improvement by planning and leading kaizen events.
  • Provide support to plant operations to ensure KPI targets are achieved.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of capital expenditure projects.
  • Identify the manufacturing equipment requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing non-conformances.
  • Create work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flows.
  • Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred by Client
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; preferred fields include Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Equivalent experience will be taken into account.
  • Minimum of 3 years in Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Engineering.
  • Experience in leading kaizen events.
  • Background in fabrication and assembly.
  • Familiarity with value stream mapping.
  • Mechanical assembly experience.
  • Minimal travel required, 10% or less

Pay Rate: $80k+
Term: Direct Hire
