Manager – Floor & Roof Truss Design
Location: Nashville, TN (On-site)
Compensation: $120K+ for the right candidate

We are seeking an experienced Manager with a strong background in wood truss design to lead a design team and oversee projects from estimation through scheduling and delivery. This role offers the opportunity to step into a leadership position, guiding both in-office and remote team members while working closely with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 5 designers (3 remote, 2 in-office); review, assign, and check work.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules to meet deadlines and company goals.
  • Collaborate with sales and plant operations to align production with customer needs.
  • Review contracts and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle budgets, forecasting, estimating, and quoting from take-offs.
  • Step in to cover responsibilities as needed (vacations, workload balance).
  • Maintain a positive, flexible, and solutions-oriented leadership style.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of wood truss design experience (floor and roof trusses).
  • Proficiency with Alpine Truss Design Software or comparable software.
  • Experience reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and construction drawings.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Experience designing wall panels or timber trusses (preferred).
  • Proven estimating and quoting experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with prior experience managing small teams.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to shifting schedules and priorities.
Schedule:
  • On-site in Nashville office, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (some flexibility required).
