Maintenance Technician II – Direct Hire
Pleasant Prairie, WI
$67,000 – $74,000 annually
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join a growing manufacturing operation. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, advancement potential, and the chance to work with a highly skilled maintenance team.
About the Role
The Maintenance Technician II will support production by performing both mechanical and electrical maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. This includes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure reliability and uptime. You will also contribute to process improvements and mentor junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment (mechanical and electrical).

  • Perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, and other manufacturing machinery.

  • Install, align, and overhaul mechanical drive systems.

  • Test and repair electrical systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other diagnostic tools.

  • Maintain lubrication schedules and ensure machinery is running to specification.

  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.

  • Train and mentor less experienced technicians.

  • Keep accurate maintenance records within a CMMS system.

  • Follow all safety and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing equipment maintenance.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and precision measuring tools.

  • Familiarity with standard shop equipment and power tools.

  • 2-year technical degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • Willingness to complete a 2–2.5 hour online skills assessment as part of the hiring process.
Interview Process

  1. Phone interview with the Maintenance Manager

  2. On-site interview with the maintenance team

  3. Online skills assessment (final step, 2–2.5 hours)
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking Level 2 technicians who bring strong technical expertise and leadership ability. Candidates assessed at Level 1 may still be considered at the lower end of the pay scale, with opportunities to advance to Level 2 after demonstrating skills through our assessment process.
