Job Title: Machinist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in Verona, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing various tools, including mills and lathes, to produce high-quality components that meet or exceed our company standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be key as you contribute to the success of our custom automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
- Set up and operate mills, lathes, drill presses, arbor presses, bench grinders, automatic surface grinders, and saws.
- Accurately interpret mechanical part and assembly drawings.
- Perform part inspections and maintain quality control throughout the production process.
- Program and execute conversational programs using ACU-RITE.
- Set up and run jobs on a vertical CNC mill, with MAZAK experience preferred.
- Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in related activities.
- Support additional facility projects and initiatives as needed.
Standards and Procedures:
- Adhere to and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Consistently perform essential job functions while meeting all relevant federal, state, and local standards.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong ability to work independently and follow through on assignments within prescribed routines and standard practices.
- Competent in reading and analyzing charts, work orders, production schedules, and other documentation to determine production requirements and evaluate outputs.
- Capable of interpreting specifications, schematics, job orders, and company policies for team members.
- Skilled in inspecting materials, products, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift raw materials, final products, and packed items up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with abrasive deburring and tumbling of components.
