Job Description

Selectek is seeking a Machine Designer responsible for designing mechanical systems and creating detailed documentation using Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks. You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle—from requirements gathering to final design and project management. You’ll collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver custom automation solutions.

Required:
  • Strong understanding of machine design fundamentals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software.
  • Knowledge of materials, machining costs, and budget-conscious design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of basic machine controls.
  • Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic systems and motor sizing.
  • Familiarity with fluid dynamics and vacuum/blower system design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of experience or 8+ years of relevant machine design experience.
  • AS in Machine Design Technology or similar discipline with training in Inventor or SolidWorks with 8+ years of relevant machine design experience.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Field service or assembly experience; ability to troubleshoot and debug machinery.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in Autodesk Vault and Inventor.
Pay: $90,000 - $115,000/yr
