Job Summary:

A leading provider of custom bakery equipment is seeking a Machine Designer with experience in sheet metal design to join its growing engineering team. This role involves designing bakery equipment, including conveyors and other machinery, from concept to production using SolidWorks Sheet Metal Module. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with a team of skilled designers and engineers.
Responsibilities:
  • Design custom bakery equipment such as conveyors, oven loaders/unloaders, proofers, retarders, coolers, and depanners.
  • Utilize SolidWorks Sheet Metal Module to create detailed designs.
  • Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Work on projects from concept to fabrication, ensuring seamless transition to production.
  • Collaborate with a team of designers, engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Participate in a SolidWorks Sheet Metal CAD test during the interview process.
  • Assist in rebuilding the design team after workforce reductions during the pandemic.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in machine design (senior-level candidates also considered).
  • Sheet metal design experience and proficiency in SolidWorks Sheet Metal Module.
  • Knowledge of BOMs, fabrication processes, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with conveyor design is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • No degree required.
Location: York, PA
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $60K - $100K (Higher salaries considered for highly experienced candidates)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (On-Site)
Overtime: Possible (1.5x pay rate)
Work Attire: Business Casual
