Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Life Safety/Sprinkler Inspector responsible for the testing, inspection, and preventive maintenance of water-based systems, pre-engineered systems, fire extinguishers, backflow, and a variety of products from multiple manufacturers. This role includes providing accurate and detailed inspection reports, documenting improvements and complications, and assisting in selling company services for any identified deficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on life safety product lines, including fire sprinkler systems and associated equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and industry standards.
  • Provide accurate and detailed inspection reports, documenting improvements and complications.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership regarding job status and any concerns.
  • Operate with minimal supervision while performing inspections.
  • Schedule, complete, and submit inspection documentation using Astea and FormLink as required.
  • Work with the District Manager and Office Manager to ensure complete job closeout and turnover to the client.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, actively promoting and selling additional company services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work truck, respect customer property, and adhere to safety and security policies.
  • Stay fit for duty every day, uphold a zero-tolerance policy for substance abuse, and exercise full authority to stop work if unsafe actions are observed.
  • Follow company and customer safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE and dressing professionally.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers.
  • High level of accountability, productivity, and self-discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and travel daily to job sites (some occasional overnight travel required).
  • Must maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and authority to stop work if unsafe conditions are observed.

Work Environment:
  • 100% travel, dispatched to job sites daily.
  • Working independently, not in an office setting.
  • Majority of travel will allow for returning home most nights.

Compensation:
  • Hourly Pay: $25 - $38 per hour, DOE.
  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
