Selectek has an immediate need to hire a Land Specialist for a full-time position with a home base near Birmingham, Alabama.
Job Details
Candidates for this position will be traveling to locations throughout the state of Alabama and negotiating with landowners to acquire land which will be used for rights of way and easements. Travel to sites, including some more remote areas, will make up 50% of the job duties.
Candidates will also be required to locate and retrieve documentation to determine legal property ownership and assemble correct and complete documentation necessary in support of land rights acquisition.
Required
High school diploma at minimum, Bachelor's Degree is preferred
3+ years of experience negotiating land rights with property owners.
Knowledge of title research processes and methods
Active driver's license in good standing
Proficiency in Word/Excel applications
Compensation
$35.00-$40.00 per hour based on experience. This is a contract assignment scheduled to last 18 months from the hire date with the potential to extend based on workload. Mileage traveled to sites can be claimed as well.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p with some possible overtime
