Our client is currently seeking a Junior Structural Engineer.   

Summary:
  • We have an immediate need for an entry level or Junior Structural Engineer to join our client’s team to assist with the preparation of construction drawings for structural steel documents. 
  • This Structural Engineer will be integrated into some of the most exciting and challenging industrial and manufacturing projects that are currently being designed in the United States. 
  • In addition to the industrial sector, the warehousing and cold-storage segments of the construction industry continue to remain strong despite the potential economic headwinds. 
  • This is a career path that will also help with engineering duties an offer a chance to grow with the firm and take on more responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities:
  • BIM modeling and drafting in the development of BIM models and structural engineering drawings.  The position will include significant initial efforts and manhours to allow the candidate to develop as a proficient user of Revit and structural analysis software.
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and design analysis.
  • Collaborate with architects, other engineering disciplines, and design-build contractors on the design and construction of projects.
  • Perform construction-related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections.
Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering with a focus on Structures
  • Revit experience
Preferred:
  • EIT
  • Experience producing structural designs, including plans for major projects
  • Industrial or manufacturing facility design
  • Knowledge of Trimble’s Tekla Structural Design (TSD)
  • Autodesk ROBOT software
  • Bentley RAM Elements

Pay Rate:
  • $28 – 33/hr, dependent on experience
