Job Overview:
Selectek is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design replacement parts for rotary dryers, kilns, grinding mills, and other rotating machinery. This role involves hands-on work with Inventor or SolidWorks to create parts layouts, assembly drawings, and custom-designed solutions for our clients. You will work closely with our field services teams to evaluate equipment, troubleshoot issues, and provide engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and layout parts and assemblies in Inventor (or SolidWorks) for replacement parts such as rotary dryers, kilns, grinding mills, etc.
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot, retrofit, and install new rotary components.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Travel to client sites (up to 25%) to evaluate equipment and customize replacement parts.
  • Write clear, concise reports based on engineering findings and project progress.
  • Work with clients to provide technical guidance and ensure project requirements are met.

Required Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Proficiency in Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and report writing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in statics, dynamics, materials science, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
  • Experience with machine design is a plus.
Location: Louisville, KY
Pay Rate: $26-$28 per hour / $50,000-$58,000 annually when direct
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible for 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Travel: 25% (to client sites for equipment evaluation)
Work from Home: Not available
