Job Captain – Multi-Family / Mixed-Use Architecture
Location: Hybrid – 2 days in-office, 2 days remote (4-day work week)

We are seeking a skilled Job Captain to coordinate and lead an architectural drafting team through the development of high-quality project documents. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager from schematic design through construction documents, ensuring design intent is carried through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the drafting team in developing construction documents using Revit.

  • Produce architectural plans for multiple projects, from design development through final documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, construction methods, and project delivery standards.

  • Identify and resolve design or documentation issues in collaboration with the Project Manager.

  • Assist with coordination between contractors, clients, and consultants (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, civil, landscape).

  • Participate in client meetings, document requirements, and communicate updates to the team.

  • Conduct site visits and address field changes as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

  • 3+ years of multi-family or mixed-use project experience (wood frame, podium, mid-rise up to 5 stories; Construction Types 5A and 3 preferred).

  • 2+ years of hands-on Revit experience producing construction drawings.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, Bluebeam, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Positive, proactive “can-do” mindset.

  • Ability to lead teams and maintain follow-through with staff, consultants, and clients.

  • Some travel may be required.
