Job Description
We have client who has an immediate need for an Inventory Control Specialist in Bloomfield, CT.
Job description:
-
Ensure accurate inventory levels at the proper stocking levels to ensure that the replenishment stream and production team has the necessary information to complete customer requirements
- Cycle counting of materials and production supply items
- Root cause analysis and communication of inaccuracies
-
Monitoring of system inventory levels
-
Working with Purchasing Agent when stock levels are noticed
-
Working with the shipping and receiving personnel to locate and move product
-
Review usage and stock levels to recommend adjustments based on changes in demand
-
Reorganize staging areas for better efficiency of flow

Issuing materials to the floor in a FIFO manner
-
Evaluate inventory for aging, get disposition and dispose timely as required

Assume ownership of the inventory

Back up for Shipping & Receiving
Required:
-
U.S. Citizen
-
Understanding of inventory control process and/or warehousing
-
Knowledgeable of ERP Systems
-
General knowledge of the material flow from receipt of raw goods to completion of finished product
-
Understanding of transactional impacts to both inventory ledger and general finance ledger
-
Good Excel and computer literacy skills
Preferred:

2 years of inventory control and/or warehousing experience.

Lizzie is originally from a small town in South Georgia where she grew up on a farm. She then moved to the “big city” of Athens to attend The University of Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication. The courses she took cultivated her desire to connect with people and help others. This path led her to a sales and recruiting job with a company in Atlanta that took her to Pittsburgh and then back to Atlanta. Although she enjoyed the competitiveness of sales, recruiting was her passion. For the next three years, Lizzie honed her recruiting skills while working for a light industrial/manufacturing staffing company in Marietta, GA.
Lizzie joined Selectek in March of 2021. She brought with her a cumulative of nearly 9 years of recruiting experience. Her strong background and knowledge of recruiting gave her a great base for learning the ins and outs of engineering and architecture.
In her spare time, Lizzie spends time with her dogs (Jax, Tuck, and Birdie) and cat (Luna). She also enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs football team and visiting local wineries. She enjoys going on trips with her husband, Philip, and playing in a competitive cornhole league with him.
