Job Description

Selectek is looking for a GIS Technician for an Engineering firm that primarily supports the utility industry. This is a great opportunity for someone out of school or with limited experience to learn their processes and join a team with room for growth.
 
  • Bachelor of Science in Geography or Geo Spatial Science highly preferred
  • Experience using ArcMap is ideal, but other ESRI software will be accepted
Job order details:
The role will work closely with the engineering team to determine what changes need to be designed and developed to the construction prints. Once they have an understanding of this information, they will make adjustments and new designs to the construction prints using Arc MAP and ACAD. Once created, these prints will be sent to the teams in the field to rebuild the power line systems.

Sponsorship: No
Pay range: $21/hour - $23hour ($44,000 - $48,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment: 6 months temp to perm
Pay method when direct: Hourly, eligible for OT Pay
Hours and shift: Monday - Thursday (10 hour shifts); Can flex start time; Can work OT on Friday if they want
Work from home:  Not to start - Once direct, they can work 1 day at home if they are doing well and any OT work on Friday can be from home.
Working remote: no
Overtime expected: Can work up to 50 hours a week if they want once trained up
Travel: None
Work attire: Business Casual
