[~ +/- Entry-Level] GIS Technician – Telecom Projects

Role Overview
We’re hiring a GIS Technician to support telecom projects by managing and analyzing field-collected data. This role involves working with new customer data to customize reports, build maps, and provide GIS-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize ArcGIS and ArcMap to solve complex spatial problems efficiently
  • Develop and implement innovative GIS workflows
  • Support GIS projects and effectively communicate progress with team members
  • Perform data analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity (QA/QC)
  • Publish map, feature, and geodata services

Requirements
  • Experience as a GIS Analyst or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS and ArcMap
  • Experience with SQL Server is a plus
  • Candidates with GIS experience in telecom companies are highly preferred

Location: Ball Ground, GA (30107)
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Hours: Flexible start, 5x8s preferred, open to 4x10s for non-local candidates
Starting Pay Rate: ~ $20/hr., potentially up to ~ $22/hr. for a strong candidate
Long-term, Full-Time career opportunity
Overtime: Minimal (OT Bill Rate: 1.5x)

  • Pay Evaluation at Direct Hire: Co. typically offers a pay increase upon direct hire.
  • Benefits:

  • 75% coverage of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees.
  • Higher Pay for Additional Skills: Willing to offer a higher rate for candidates with additional IT skills, such as setting up computer stations and handling basic technical needs. If you have these skills, we’d be happy to discuss compensation accordingly.
